In mid June o2 will be launching its Block-it service. This service will allow you to block unwanted messages from mobile phone numbers – no more sms-bullying! It is a very simple process to set up, and doesn’t cost anything – at least that I can figure out anyway. Block It will allow you to stop picture, SMS and video messages from private mobile phones. It will not allow you to block premium numbers.
If you accidentally block a number you can easily unblock it also.
It is about time a service like this was brought in, well overdue. The downside as mentioned is the inability to block voice calls from certain numbers, but you can screen them and refuse to answer withheld numbers – its not ideal, but a good start.
