Cóir to bring back the foetus?

Posted by: Steve In: Lisbon 2

Cóir are launching their new anti-Lisbon poster campaign this weekend. From their site:

The second in Cóir’s series of posters go up this weekend. Different in appearance and concept from the average political poster, they reinforce earlier messages as well as targeting some new ones. A key message is repeated: the Lisbon Treaty will assist the EU Court to drive down wages and undermine the right to earn even the minimum wage.

More than one person have indicated to me that this next campaign will involve babies.

End game for Cóir if it does, and would that be such a bad thing?

Cóir have presented more than one mistruth in relation to Lisbon. Their minimum wage claims being one of the most infamous. I would imagine they will be outside the GPO in the morning, I recommend you go along for a gander.

Many No campaigners that I know have been quick to distant themselves from Cóir and their claims.

Of course the illegal anti-Cóir poster campaign currently been rolled out across Dublin city will do the yes side no favours either. I have spoken to a number of ordinary voters that noticed the lack of a ‘published by’ on the posters and are leaning towards giving Cóir the benefit of the doubt.

The yes side needs to stop targeting the leafy dublin suburbs and start asking the working class (and in my estimation, the recently unemployed) to vote yes – or they may yet lose this treaty – and who then really represents the voice of the majority?
